Still Becoming

There’s something strange about the in-between—when you’re no longer who you were, but not quite sure who you’re becoming.

It’s not loud. Not dramatic. It’s not some big life event that forces you to change overnight.

It’s subtler than that.

A quiet morning that feels different for no clear reason. A familiar road that doesn’t quite hit the same. A shift in rhythm you didn’t ask for—but suddenly have to dance with anyway.

Lately, that’s where I’ve found myself.

Not completely lost. But definitely not “figured out.”

In moments like this, I used to crave clarity. An answer. A sign. A roadmap. Something to make it all make sense.

But growth doesn’t always show up that way.

As Mr. Rogers once said,

“Transitions are almost always signs of growth, but they can bring feelings of loss. To get somewhere new, we may have to leave somewhere else behind.”

And that’s the weird part—these in-between seasons can feel like “nowhere.” Not where you started. Not where you’re headed. Just… stuck in the middle.

But that space? It matters too.

“You are somewhere… you’re between.”

We don’t always get to see the transformation while we’re in it. Change doesn’t knock politely and wait for your schedule to clear. It shows up mid-shift, mid-project, mid-chaos. It shows up while you're still trying to juggle your present and plan your future—with no guarantee that either will go the way you hoped.

But you keep going.

One step at a time. Even when you don’t have the map.

You keep showing up for the parts of your life that still feel like you.

For the playlists that still hit.

For the people who remind you who you are, even when you forget.

For the version of yourself who’s still becoming—even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

No grand declarations here. No “aha” moment. No polished takeaway.

Just this: The in-between is not a failure. It’s not a pause. It’s part of the story.

And here’s the good news: You woke up today.

And that’s more than some beautiful souls could say this morning.

So maybe that’s enough.

Maybe the fact that you’re still here—even with your questions, your half-drawn map, and your messy progress—means more than you think.

Because some of the most important chapters in your story don’t look like success. They look like uncertainty.

And if that realization scares someone in your orbit? That says a whole lot more about them than it does about you. 😌

You don’t have to sprint.

You don’t have to know exactly where it’s going.

You just have to keep walking.

Because even here—in the in-between—you’re moving.

And that counts.

You’re not lost.

You’re just in motion.

More to come soon.

And if this one hit home? Let’s walk this part together. 🤍
